The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Pow Wow Committee invites interested individuals, caterers, and community members to submit a bid to provide bagged lunches for this year’s Pow Wow.
The successful bidder will be responsible for preparing and providing individually packaged lunches that are fresh, safe, and ready for distribution to attendees.
Successful Bid Application Requirements
The successful bid must include the following:
- Preparation and packaging of approximately 500 bagged lunches (final numbers to be confirmed).
- Each bagged lunch must include:
- One freshly made sandwich (choice of ham, turkey, chicken, or vegetarian option)
- One whole piece of fruit (apple, orange, or banana)
- One individually packaged snack (granola bar, chips, crackers, or similar)
- One bottled water
- Napkin included in each bag
- All lunches must be individually packaged in food-safe bags.
- Delivery to the Pow Wow grounds at the scheduled serving time.
- Set-up of the distribution area (if required).
- Clean-up of the serving area following meal distribution.
- Bid price must include all food, packaging, supplies, labour, and applicable taxes.
- Successful bidder must provide proof of a valid Food Handler’s Certificate with the bid submission.
- Successful bidder must comply with all Manitoba Public Health food safety regulations.

Please submit your bid in a sealed envelope clearly marked:
“2026 Pow Wow Bagged Lunch Bid”
Include the following with your submission:
- Total bid amount
- Sample menu (including sandwich options)
- Food Handler’s Certificate
- Contact information
- Any previous catering experience or references (preferred)
