Housing Authority

Currently, Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Housing Authority administers the housing program using the 2004/2005 General Housing Policy and Procedures Manual.

Since 2004, there have been a series of community participation sessions, where public notices were posted, in order to obtain invaluable feedback from BON so that an update policy manual could be drafted for the Brokenhead Ojibwa Nation Housing Authority (BONHA), but with procedures.

Now that there have been many community participation sessions, a draft of the BONHA Policies and Procedures Manual is now complete and has undergone a community approval process.

MISSION

It is the mission of the BON Housing Authority to provide safe, adequate, comfortable and affordable housing to each BON registered Member in recognition of the belief that adequate housing is critical to the health, well-being and dignity of the BON as a whole. This BON Housing Policy has been created to guide the actions that are taken to accomplish this mission.
