The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation’s Housing Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the part time after hours position of Housing Maintenance.  The incumbent will be responsible for carrying out general repairs and maintenance to all band houses and buildings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A good working knowledge of performing general repairs and maintenance to houses and buildings.
  • The ability to perform miscellaneous duties, such as light carpentry, painting, minor electrical and minor plumbing.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work various hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver License.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerability Check
  • Possess strong communication skills to maintain positive relationships with the public as well as contractors.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision.
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and future random drug testing.
  • Include 3 employer references with your resume
