We’re excited to share an update on the progress of our land settlement claims.

1st Test Run Completed

Today we completed the first $0.01 test deposit. We are testing in batches of 100 so if you did not receive your $0.01 test deposit, please DO NOT call or email, you will be in a different batch. If you have received the $0.01 deposit you don’t have to do anything, the bank will issue a report that we can review to make sure everything is good to proceed with the larger disbursement. This will take a few more days.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL IF YOU DID NOT RECIEVE A $0.01 DEPOSIT. YOU MAY BE IN A DIFFERENT BATCH AND WILL BE PROCESSED SHORTLY.  APPLICATIONS CAN TAKE UP TO 30 BUSINESS DAYS TO PROCESS.

Incomplete Applications

We have over 200 applications that are incomplete. This may include a missing copy of your Status Card, missing bank information or a Membership Application form is required. You DO NOT have to contact Membership or the band office. All people with an incomplete application have received an email and some may have received a phone call outlining what still needs to be submitted. The staff will continue to reach out to ensure the applications are completed. Again, please DO NOT contact the office. The volume of emails and calls being received is impacting response time.

Section 10 Band Members

Please note that although you have a 261 Treaty Number as we are a Section 10 band, our Membership Code requires you to apply for membership. This application must be completed, signed and submitted before you will be eligible to receive a disbursement. Please make sure you’ve completed this step.  You can find this application online. The deadline for membership applications is October 6, 2025.

Claims Applications

We will begin contacting people who have not yet submitted an application to ensure they are aware of the process or to offer assistance in completing the application. We will only be able to contact those that we have contact information.
