The Brokenhead Ojibway Jordan’s Principle Program is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time term position of Maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for carrying out general repairs and maintenance to all buildings, BON Splash Pad and Jordan’s Principle Park.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Good working knowledge of performing general repairs and maintenance to buildings/Splash Pad/Parks.
- Perform miscellaneous duties, such as light carpentry, painting, minor electrical, minor plumbing, grass cutting and garbage removal.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Maintain accurate files of work orders and other paperwork.
- Review estimates and actual expenditures on a regular basis.
- Must be flexible and willing to work various hours.
- Possess strong communication skills to maintain positive relationships with the public as well as contractors.
- Must be able to follow direction.
- Must have the ability to follow all policies put in place by Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Jordan’s Principle.
- Must have a valid Manitoba Class 4 Driver License.
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerability Check
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and future random drug testing.
