The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Water & Sewage Treatment Operator. Working under the direction of the WTP Manager, the incumbent will require the knowledge of the operation and running maintenance of pumps, chlorinators and feeders and other mechanical equipment. A good knowledge of mathematics and basic chemistry is a requirement as well as a good mechanical aptitude.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Grade 12 Education or GED
- Proper certification or the ability to achieve certification.
- Must be knowledgeable of running and maintaining equipment and pumps.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance on all of the plants operating systems.
- Physically ability to perform duties.
- Must have the ability to coordinate, organize, and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug test and future random drug testing
- Must have reliable vehicle and valid Manitoba Driver License
