This morning, Chief Gordon Blue Sky, along with members of Council, met with the NDP caucus to address key issues surrounding economic reconciliation. The meeting focused on the critical need for collaborative efforts between Indigenous communities and the government to create sustainable economic opportunities for First Nations.
Chief Blue Sky emphasized the importance of meaningful partnerships that respect Brokenhead Ojibway Nation’s sovereignty and promote long-term prosperity for the community. Discussions touched on several pressing topics, including equitable resource management, community-driven economic development, and ensuring access to essential infrastructure.
