Brokenhead Ojibway Nation is seeking a highly motivated individual for the full time term position of Financial Assistant. The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of comprehensive financial support within our finance unit, including but not limited to, processing bi-weekly payroll, records of employment, reconcile benefit deductions, T4’s and pension contributions. Incumbent will be required to work in a fast paced, demand, multi-tasking environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Payroll Certificate
- Canadian Payroll Association Membership
- Sage 300 and Quick Book experience essential
- Must have data input accuracy, analytical ability and the ability to carry out financial projects without supervision;
- Accounts Payable Module Maintenance
- Vendor Maintenance and Monthly Vendor/A/P Reconciliation
- Bank Reconciliations
- Processing Cheque Requisitions and Purchase Orders
- Accounts Receivable Module
- Payroll Experience
- Good communications skills, both written and oral, organizational ability and be able to meet tight deadlines,
- Complete confidentiality and reliability is essential.
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Willing to provide a pre-employment drug test and submit to future random drug testing
