Brokenhead Ojibway Nation is seeking a highly motivated individual for the full time term position of Financial Assistant.  The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of comprehensive financial support within our finance unit, including but not limited to, processing bi-weekly payroll, records of employment, reconcile benefit deductions, T4’s and pension contributions.  Incumbent will be required to work in a fast paced, demand, multi-tasking environment.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Payroll Certificate
  • Canadian Payroll Association Membership
  • Sage 300 and Quick Book experience essential
  • Must have data input accuracy, analytical ability and the ability to carry out financial projects without supervision;
  • Accounts Payable Module Maintenance
  • Vendor Maintenance and Monthly Vendor/A/P Reconciliation
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Processing Cheque Requisitions and Purchase Orders
  • Accounts Receivable Module
  • Payroll Experience
  • Good communications skills, both written and oral, organizational ability and be able to meet tight deadlines,
  • Complete confidentiality and reliability is essential.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Willing to provide a pre-employment drug test and submit to future random drug testing
