Brokenhead Ojibway Nation’s Development Corp. is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Financial Administration Assistant. The Financial Administration Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial administration operations and other administrative tasks as required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing full cycle accounting tasks: accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with payroll: update spreadsheets, employee hours, and calculate payroll payments.
  • Record daily EFT, cheque payments, and semi-monthly credit card and auto-debit payments.
  • Process and distribute monthly customer invoices.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payments, invoices and billing inquiries.
  • Ensure the timely processing of approved payments to vendors
  • Review accounts receivable reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Review and enter supplier and subcontractor bills with supporting documents.
  • Record credit card charges with documentation.
  • Perform administrative tasks and special projects as required.

Experience and Skills:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Completion of Grade 12 education or GED.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is an asset
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.
