Jordan Principle/Child First Initiative is seeking a highly motivated individual for the full-time position of Financial Clerk.  The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of comprehensive financial support within our program, including but not limited to, preparing budgets, bank deposits, transfers, accounts receivable/payables, and travel expenses, financial statements and reports, general administrative duties, filing, developing & instituting a sound accountable financial management policy and protocol, and assisting with accreditation review and implementation, as well as any other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Certified Financial Training from a recognized accredited training institution or experience;
  • Computerized Financial Training in Acc Pac and/or a related financial management program including the ability to apply this training;
  • Maintain a professional Code of Ethics when dealing with multi-sectoral partners and local programming initiatives;
  • Must be knowledgeable with Annual Work-plans, budgets, funding partners and local health programs;
  • Excellent organizational & motivational skills;
  • Able to take direction and follows through to completion of tasks;
  • Excellent writing & communication skills and must be able to work as a team member;
  • Excellent mental & emotional health and willing to be a team player
  • Must have use of vehicle as pertains to job duties;
  • Must be able to work professionally, demonstrate respect and maintain strict confidentiality at all times;
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to be part of the process of developing a new position;
  • Willing to submit to a clean pre-employment drug test and future random drug and alcohol testing;
  • Proven record of punctuality and reliability;
