Brokenhead Ojibway Nation’s Development Corp. is seeking a skilled Security Operations Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our new company, BON Security. As Security Operations Manager, you will be responsible for building the company from the ground up. You will develop and implement policies, procedures, and security standards to ensure exceptional service. Additionally, you will be focusing on securing contracts and managing the security team to deliver high-quality services tailored to meet client needs while driving the growth of BON Security.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Oversee and manage the security budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while monitoring expenses.
- Recruit, train, and supervise security personnel.
- Collaborate with organizations to assess and address operational security needs.
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events or activities.
- Lead and manage staff in responding to emergencies, alarms, and other security incidents.
- Review and analyze incident reports and security breaches, identifying areas for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve security issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and present detailed security status reports for management.
- Analyze security data to propose improvements, such as new technology implementation or policy adjustments.
- Perform administrative duties and manage special projects as required.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience as security manager or similar position.
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV).
- Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
- Solid understanding of budgeting and contracts.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Committed and reliable.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma: Further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset.
