The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the full-time positions as Building Security Officer’s.  Under the general direction of the BON Chief Administrative Officer, the Building Security Officers patrols BON’s buildings to ensure safety and protection for the property, land, and personnel. Role will be to patrol buildings, property, and personnel. Responsible to patrol, monitor and provide a safe environment for the community.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Desired qualification Grade 12 or Grade 12 GED
  • Must have a current Class 5 Drivers License
  • Thorough knowledge of Security procedures and rules governing the operation of BON;
  • Be capable of keeping accurate and complete records, including but not limited to logbook(s) and reports(s);
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with fellow employees and public;
  • Be physically able to perform the duties required of the position, including but not limited to:
    1. Ability to physically assist and direct people in various situations;
    2. Ability to have binocular visual acuity corrected to 20/20;
    3. Ability to hear and understand normal conversational speech, an
    4. Ability to complete the standardized course for Security Training in the Province of Manitoba.
  • Must be able to obtain clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry.
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug test and future random drug testing.
