Manitoba First Nations Police Service becomes the police service of jurisdiction for the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation.

Background:
This will be a formal ceremony to celebrate that the Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) has now become the police service for the Broken head Ojibway Nation (BON). BON had been policed by the RCMP.

Chief Gordon Bluesky, BON Council members, MFNPS Chief of Police Doug Palson, the R.C. M. P., representatives from the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council Police Commission, the province and federal governments will be on hand for the ceremony.

BON will become one of ten First Nation Communities served by the MFNPS and is now a member of the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council Police Commission.
