RE: Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)
Canada recently announced the discontinuance if the Canada Emergency Response
Benefit (CERB).
Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Chief and Council wants to remind all BON members who applied for CERB and were not eligible and who received funds when you should not have, you have committed fraud.
The Chief and Council of the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation will not assist anyone who financially put themselves in this position. You must accept the consequences of your decision and be accountable for the choice you have made.
The Federal Government will expect that you pay these funds back and have made it known that they will withhold or deduct any Government of Canada Benefits such as Child Tax Benefits, Annual Tax Returns, and the GST credit.
