ID REQUIREMENTS
Option 1:
One piece of government-issued photo ID with your current address.
Examples include:
- Driver’s license
- Manitoba identification card
Option 2:
Two documents that include your name.
Examples include:
- Passport
- Treaty card
- Manitoba Health card
- Social Insurance card
- Utility bill
- Credit card
- Declaration of First Nation Guarantor for Proof of Identity (PDF, 63.1 KB).

Voters on the voters list who do not have ID may have another voter with ID from their electoral division Vouch for them.
If your name is not on the voters list, you will be asked to take an oath.
If none of your ID includes your address, you will be asked to sign a voter registration form.
YOU CAN VOTE IF YOU ARE:
- a Canadian citizen;
- 18 years of age on or before election day;
- a resident of Manitoba for at least 6 months before election day;
- in the case of a byelection, a resident of the electoral division in which the byelection is being held.
