After consideration, consultation with membership, Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Chief and Council voted to proceed with the BON General Election on Saturday April 18, 2020.  Added security measures have been implemented to mitigate the risk of COVID19, Access point stations will be screening all vehicles entering BON, extra security staff will be on site to ensure Provincial social distancing policies are being enforced, also each voter will be provided Personal Protective Equipment upon entry to the polling station.

POLLING NOTICE:

This Notice has been revised as the COVID-19 situation has caused changes to the Polling Station locations. For electors of the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, a Poll will be held to elect a one (1) Chief and four (4) Councillors on Saturday, the 18th day of April, 2020 from nine o’clock (9:00) a.m. until eight o’clock (8:00) p.m. at the following location:

On-Reserve Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, at the “Recreation Centre”.
Off-Reserve the polling station has been cancelled

Please be advised that an elector can vote in person at the one location on the day of the election in lieu of voting by mail-in ballot. We encourage all members to utilize the mail-in voting option due to the COVID-19 situation.

The votes will be counted at the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, at the “Recreation Centre” immediately after the closing of the Poll on Saturday the 18th day of April, 2020. The results will be declared following the
